When I read the thread title I thought it was one of the third world laptops. No offense.

I think it was a steal for $303 CDN. The CPU is a bit slow, but otherwise it's a nice laptop.

Someone may want to get this one for $500 http://www.auction4it.com/lot.cfm?lotID=100012769 It included a 9-cell battery and bluetooth.

Not to start an OS war, but i thought "damn, that's a good deal" until i read "WIN VISTA HOME PREM". :/

Still, that's pretty hot. Much better for my money than one of these EEE/netbook machines. Exactly what kind of warranty do they come with? There's conflicting info on the page.

Six months.

I don't mind Vista; I just hope it runs well on such a slow CPU.

Sweet.  Those can hardly be found anymore because they can be used with both PS2s and PS3s.

How good does it work?

The most expensive joystick I ever got was a MAS for the Dreamcast.  I don't think it was worth the money though.

Did you try the adapter below?  It's supposedly the best for joysticks.

These pillows are frickin' great.  When I went overseas for two months I took mine with me.

Is that pillow made with that memory foam stuff?

Nothing yet, but I'm gonna go get Mario Kart Wii today.

And probably be really, really disappointed and wonder why I got it.

Basically it's a typical Nintendo purchase.

The City on the Edge of Forever: The Original Teleplay that Became the Classic Star Trek Episode (Paperback)

Quote
Ellison has had it--up to here! He wrote the original teleplay for the first Star Trek TV series' most popular episode (in which Kirk and Spock leap through a time gate into 1930s Chicago in order to prevent history being changed) and then watched, patiently fuming, for 30 years as Gene Roddenberry, that blankity-blank-blank, told everyone what an incompetent job Ellison had done and how much he had to labor to realize the script that was finally filmed. Yet since Ellison's original won a Writers Guild Award, the highest honor TV dramatists bestow, how incompetent could it have been? The answer, verified by the script's reappearance here alongside two prefatory treatments and two scenes Ellison added at Roddenberry's request, is "not at all." Seconding that assessment, four other ST writers and four original cast members weigh in. But what makes this the ST book of the year (maybe all time) is Ellison's sputtering, raging, fuming introduction in which he sets the record straight, by God! Invective doesn't come any better these days. Both ears and the tail, Harl!
