I'm writing my Bachelor thesis in History now about the media coverage of the Holocaust in Dutch newspapers in the summer of 1945. Part of it was taking a survey door to door to see what people know now about the subject. But I also added in two other questions just to make them think a bit.

The first question of the survery was: Do you know where the Olympics will be held this year? Most people answered correctly (except one girl who said the Cech Republic...). My last question was: Do you know where the Olympics were held in 1936? Not many people knew that, and they all acted surprised when I told them that it was Germany.

I hope I made some of them think at least.

I'm kind of surprised everyone knew that Germany in 1936 was a bad thing.
