Sony won't allow it.

If piracy weren't so rampant on the PC, I don't see why Sony won't allow it.  I doubt porting it to the PC would cannibalize PS3 sales.

The fact that Kazunori Yamauchi wants to do things like RPGs leads me to believe he may branch off and develop for the xbox 360

The only problem is porting GT5 to the PC with no quality loss demands at least 4GBs of ram.

Even if this was true, by the time it saw the light of day on the PC that wouldn't be a problem. More RAM? No problem, x64 vista/32 bit xp dual boot is the way to go now anyway. PC gamers aren't dirty poors, especially the folk who would play GT5 on a PC instead of a PS3.

Not that this matters-any Chinaman oriented GT5 would be an online,  free to play microtransaction hell.

GT5 has a LOT of well done content. I think some of the games are superior from certain standpoints, but none blow away GT5 by any means. And this is coming from me, the duder who pretty much gave up on console gaming.

Personally, I'd rather play the next Simbin release, modded NASCAR Season 2003, Trackmania on my PC. That's just my tastes though, I don't like the pokemon-with-cars GT design but it is popular with a lot of people.

:rofl @ the fucking, distinguished mentally-challenged sfags

Mass Effect (or any other 360 exclusive game) goes to PC --> "Great, more devs should do it!", "Brilliant!", "They probably have to recoup the huge development costs", "Will run great on my Quad-Core, 2GB rig!"

GT5 (or any other PS3 exclusive game) theoretically comes to PC --> "NEVER GONNA HAPPEN!", "They shouldn't waste their talent, money and time on it!", "Will require Octo-Core and 8GB of RAM!"

To be fair, the real reason to release Mass Effect for the PC is that Bioware has a very significant worldwide fan base on the PC, cultivated with literally a decade of RPG goodness. Those PC fans buy their products and Bioware doesn't want to let them down so they keep buying Bioware products-like Dragon Age. Keeping your customer base engaged and purchasing things is a good thing in any industry.

GT5 on PC seems sort of strange because there's not really people frothing at the mouth for it and it's never been on the PC and has no fan base there. And if he wanted a PC game to sell to the Chinese, he'd have to do something totally different than GT5 for them.

Good trolling. You haven't gotten the usual response--probably because what you said is so true.

Because the PS3 doesn't make use of Blu-ray any more than a PC would.

well I realized that the issues I would have raised have kind of already been raised in the thread (yamauchi is not talking about gt5, it's for the chinese market, blah blah) so i'd rather just let demi tongue my vagina.

frag is totally right and borys misread yamauchi's comments.

lol @ cali / sonoid recation.

Man the hypocracy cannons!
FIRE AT OUR FEET.

it's great seeing Cali annoyed, you know the next step is that trip to Gamestump or whatever they have in whatever backwater eastern block country he's in to buy an X360 and finally join the next gen.

Or... play this game on the PC like all sboys have. They all seem to have amazing rigs where X360 games are concerned, so (as they are constantly saying they prefer to play games on a superior platform) then they should be welcoming the fact that the BY FAR most powerful gaming platform at the moment would get a big name sony franchise.

We have this on the PC too-it's called Habbo Hotel. And it's an equally embarasssing thing on the PC as Home is on the PS3, though at least Home has nicer graphics!
