I'd imagine Sony will just update the firmware to break this and make all new games require the new firmware.  Unless they have a solution to make this firmware-update-proof, then I'm not too excited (even if it turns out to be real).

And then the hackers will strike again and dominate Sony just like they did with the PSP.
