the fuckfanservice ruins everything
Is that supposed to be somebody, or did they just decide to add some animu-looking character?

what the fuck. i never thought i'd find myself wishing for the return of intrusive nes-style localizations, but THIS BITCH NEEDS TO GO
1UP: Will we see even more guest characters from other manga artists in the game?KS: Yes, there are a few more characters from manga artists and other famous illustrators, too.
after prolonged flirtations, soul calibur has truly caught the smash AIDS :'(console version of vf5r pls
I don't get the hate for Yoda. He was pretty badass in his fight scenes, even more so than Vader.
Thank God for my Dreamcast and SC1
Quote from: Grecco on April 17, 2008, 11:20:08 PMThank God for my Dreamcast and SC1I really have the urge to play it now. Since SC4 is a fucking abortion. And to think SC1 was probably my most played game of last generation. What the fuck.
I didn't like SC2 as much as the original. Probably because of the dumb mascot shit (or because I had grown so accustomed to the original). SC3 I never got into because I didn't have people to play with. I don't even know why I bothered to buy it.
Yes, Necrid was worse than all the console-exculsive mascots combined. Jesus. And I'll admit the graphics point lyte edge. SC blew my 13-year-old mind, and I played it to fucking death.

Just don't use the guest characters if you don't like them. I don't know if I could go back to SC1 with all the changes and new stuff the characters got...SC2 is where it's at, not the original. Think I might play that when I get home...ON XBOX 360. Anyway, Samurai Spirits Sen is like Soul Calibur and has no dumb guest characters. It's supposed to be out in arcades today...hope someplace here gets it.

Necrid > Angol Fear. There, I said it.
I really hope SNK Playmore ports Samurai Spirits Sen over to the Xbox 360, without any guest characters...

Saw this first-hand at the game shop I was working at. We imported the Japanese version in summer 1999 and people were pissing themselves when they saw the game running. It was an easy system-seller. I think maybe last year on GAF the game came up and I was questioning why people were calling it "revolutionary," because the only thing about the game that really made it stood out was its visuals. People today still herald the game as something ground-breaking, but that's bullshit.
Yea, I'm pretty sure I've never described it as "revolutionary." It just completely shit on every console game I had ever seen before it graphically. Also, I had never played a fighter with weapons...outside of Ergeiz (however the fuck you spell it). Was it the first successful weapon-based console fighter?
Are any of the PS2 SC games widescreen?
sc3 is, and supports 480pi still think it's the best-looking fighter of last generation by far
