Eel, it's already compressed.  I thought some might want to appreciate SH3 at almost 1080P w/8x AA.

Remember, guys, all of Konami's money is going to Kojima Productions.  Look at the Igavanias. THEY ARE USING 15 YEAR OLD SPRITES FOR CURRENT GAMES.  15 YEAR OLD SPRITES!!!

This can't be a next-gen game

I just don't get it.  Is it possible many of the assets were created a long time ago for previous gen consoles and they haven't updated it yet?

Bullshit.

No, I think this game is a victim of outsourcing it to the US, obviously to save money.

Seriously, the concept sounds amazing (brandonh83 read some things from the beginning of the story that sounded pretty damn great and different for the Silent Hill series and told me about them) but the game looks like SHITE

I really hope this game turns out good.  I love survival horror yet have never played a Silent Hill (dunno why, just never got around to it).  So this was going to be my first foray into the series.

It just looks so ridiculously bad. :'(

No and no.

This is a PS3 & 360 game.

This isn't a Japanese made game though... it's made by the team who made the freaking Mark Ecko game :P

You should try and track down Silent Hill 2 for Xbox or PS2... the gameplay is really poor, but it's got a fantastic atmosphere and a pretty original (as far as games go) storyline too.

I took that pic myself from the PC version.  It was taken at 1600x1200 with 8x anti-aliasing.  The PS2 version was only 640x480, interlaced, and had no anti-aliasing.

I had to put a self-imposed ban on myself buying previous gen games because my backlog is ridiculous.  I have Fatal Frame 2 & 3, Haunting Ground, RE3 and Dino Crisis in my survival horror backlog already.  :(

I was going to start with SH4, but heard such mixed opinions that I kind of forgot about it.
