Never bothered with Lost. Never been into crazy, unbelievable X-Files level of shit.
Prison Break is where its at! 
Lost does a good job of spinning its yarn. The writers have negotiated a deal where they can finish their story when they say it is done (unlike the X-files), and so far, aside from a few easily overlookable snafus, Lost has been quality since day 1. I'm a pretty harsh critic, but so far, 3.5 seasons in, Lost is worth your time. They may or may not completely bungle the ending, but it's very entertaining, and on good enough footing that they can still believably wrap things up.
