I started playing games again in the summer of 2005. So maybe I'm just not tired of it yet. San Andreas was my first GTA.

I like GTA a lot but I can admit its flaws, I can admit SR did it better, and I can handle it when people say it's putrid shit.

I'll get it on 360 for the DLC, but I can't answer the actual questions in the OP about which one technically runs better.

In GTA3 I didn't even get up to Staunton I don't think.

Vice City I did almost all the missions and had all the side businesses, completed most of them too.

SA I got up to the stupid plane part and gave up.

I just bought SA late last year for like 10 bux because I figured it was probly assy. Lo and behold that was precisely what it turned out to be! So I am not in any particular hurry to play GTA 4. I'll get it one of the 8 million used copies that are out there in a few months and probably right on time for the first round of DLC shit.

Because the game was a tremendous amount of fun up to that point and they've fixed a lot of the "broken" bits.

GTA games have tremendous gameplay variety...but I've always described them as a skyscraper built on top of a card table.

And I'm not into ICY HOT STUNTAZ even as a joke, so I can't get into Saint's Row. Tried it. Two seconds into the game somebody walks past me and goes, "Now that's the kind of girl I'd like to fuck up the ass."
