Author Topic: So do we all agree that the Nintendo DS/Lite is 'Winning' Christmas? (Read 5187 times)

I've never seen such a strong release list as the DS' through the months of Sept-December. I mean nothing can compare. PS2 comes close, but 360 has what, two good games, and the PSP has a very very small handful as well. So far id rank Christmas performance:

1.) DS & DS LITE
2.) Playstation 2
3.) 360
4.) Playstation Portable
5.) Dreamcast
6.) Jaguar
7.) Gamecube

Seriously, for all the DS Live, I cant even begin to IMAGINE what its like to be a Gamecube owner looking at the new release wall at their local gamestore.

You don't win just cause you exist. You have to have a great set of game releases. Honestly, PS3 and Wii both have shit launch librarys.

Final Fantasy III, Children of Mana, Castle-MOTHERFUCKING-vania and possibly Yoshi's Island 2 make the DS the console of the holidays.

I'm almost ready to get behind the 360 with Gears of War, but it needs a price drop and Halo 3 first.

It came out a few days ago. Now I want it. And I still want Clubhouse Games and Tetris DS and Sonic Rush. When I get my free copy of Gears of War, I am going to turn around and sell it for a copy of that and pay off Castlevania.

PS3 is at the bottom because of shortages, although even if it was more readily available I doubt it would be able to outsell the Wii or 360 due to the price.

Melissa is just pointing out that DS is offering more releases than the PSP this christmas season, and while there are many titles specific to certain demographics, there are also many hard hitting big name games that will surely push DS units well past the latest records the DS has already set.
