SO I finally got my movies from the rebate, and they sent me "replacement selections" for two of the movies.

Doom, starring The Rock
and
Waist Deep, starring critically acclaimed actor Tyrese Gibson.

More proof that the superior format is none other than

When did you buy your HD-DVD player?  It's pretty funny to get free HD-DVDs after the format is already dead.

Fry is the only place that still has a bunch of HD-DOAs left.  Most of them aren't still that cheap though.  The cheapest movies are $10 and those are the worse ones.
I'm not going to pay more than $5 for a HD-DVD when Amazon is regularly having sales where you can get Blu-rays for $10-15 each.

Amazon had a Buy 2 Get 1 sale not too long ago.  They used to have many B1G1 sales but I imagine that won't be so common now that Blu-ray is the only format.

HD fans at High-Def Digest have already been complaning for awhile that Blu-ray prices have gone up significantly since the death of HD-DOA.

I got the player in December. They took about four or five weeks longer to send me the movies than they promised.
