if willco's gonna waste the time to satisfy the whiny complaint of ~~the gafternet's biggest baby~~EVILBORE'S OWN INTRAFORUM BATMAN DEFENDER OF THE E-BULLIED AND E-DOWNTRODDEN, he should just abolish the icon status altogether. it *is* useless and apparently has the sole valid purpose of making ichi wet himself with rage. frankly, i don't want him playing the grudge card in every halfways decent discussion or mockery thread just because he didn't get picked for the world's gayest kickball team, so we might as well get rid of the whole affair if willco/cloud can spare the time, interest, or energy.

That was honestly my biggest complaint, but other folks changed the focus of the discussion once I mentioned removing the Icon system. I don't get why everyone feels so fucking threatened by my saying so, it's not like I can actually do anything about it.

unfairly? what's fair on the internet? how you HANDLE it dictates whether or not it continues. everyone gets hazed, and the degree to which hazing continues is based on your reaction to it. pd refused to back down from untenable and clearly ill-considered arguments in political and cinema threads, partly because it suited his contrarian urges but also because he's bad at backing down. same thing for foc. himuro has the unfortunate habit of putting his personal hypocrisies on parade, and takes very poorly to being needled about his preferences. these folks get the same treatment and reactions at gaf, oa, and the other places they've posted.

this is kinda stupid coming from you, SG, given that you've frequently complained that we don't have ENOUGH oa-style drama
