I'll admit that I'm getting Will Smith action hero fatigue, but the trailer looks awesome. Seems like an interesting take on the clumsy, reluctant superhero archetype. Plus it has Jason Bateman.

Will smith is not tough, he is not hard, he is not cool. Bad casting. Should have gone to someone worth their weight.

That sounds awful racist to me. The actor could have been white as well and still played the part a shiton better than Smith appears to be doing.

Bruce Willis for example, would kill in this role, but he isnt' 300$ box office material.
I'd love to see Denzel in this role as well, he definitaly has the chops but this movie looks way below his standards. Plus he doesn't take the typical hollywood douchebag roles.

I'd say Vin Deisel would be much better for the role. FUck the poster stole his pitch black goggle look, why not?

Not to knock you, but Pitch black sucked and I didn't bother with the 2nd one.

But he has screen presence. Smith is fine, but he is not a tough guy, he is the black less talented tom cruise.

Wanna know what made the Riddick game so cool? You were Deisel, you looked bad ass and you had him doing voice overs. If it was some white dude, or Will Smith.... oh boy...

He really needs another shot at being a kick ass action star.

There was a reason this guy was Smith's sidekick on fresh prince:

Smith is as white and tame as they come, so they added this extremly hammed up waspy house negro charichature to make him look good by comparison.

Hell, Vin as a bad ass works in any movies. He should stay away from the comedy roles though. (Example: Pacifier.)

Deadpool has a gravelly voice, so does Vin Diesel

Also in the comics nearly no one finds Deadpool funny, everyone finds him too ADD. He's not really a smart arse more like a violent ADD 10 year old given super powers.
