there's this mission where you have to release some villagers from some prison. okay, it's a stealth mission, it's dumb and took me a few tries, but once i was done with it i thought it wasn't so bad.

then, there's a mission to protect the villagers while they get away. i managed to clear the path while i kept healing them, but there's a lvl 20 whore who simply doesn't die, and she keeps hitting the distinguished mentally-challenged old man whenever i can't steal or stop her turn from happening. i ran out of items with my gadgeteer, and the other characters were too distinguished mentally-challenged to use items on someone other than them. 2 turns away from the exit, the old man dies.

if i bring in 2 gadgeteers, the remaining whores either slow down the villagers, allowing the tough bitch to kill them or they slow down my characters and i can't heal them or something else goes wrong and i have to restart the mission.

you can't save between the missions either, so now i'd have to waste my time with the first mission again.

I forgot the exact strategy I used by I got through that mission in one try. I think its a matter of speeding up the villagers turns with the main girl protaganists "Speed Up" ability (with her default class)

Learn the AI's range, and how they react, if you know who they will go for first, you can move to block the path to that guy.  Certain characters have higher priority than the villagers as attack targets.  Make use of warp, you can try disarming the attacker as well.  Use your head.

u suck, just stall the enemies and heal the villagers, and don't bother trying to kill the lvl20

i wasn't trying to kill the lvl 20 at first, but i ran out of items w/ the gadgeteer and mp with the useful characters. blocking her didn't work. i tried blocking after every other enemy was killed, but the old man moved like 2 hexes whereas the enemy moved 8.

i also tried disarming them, but it just kept failing, and the villagers are set apart in a way that i can't speed up more than one at a time. i think the way the enemies lower the rfx is more efficient that the way the main character increases it too.

either way, having to memorize what priority each character has to be hit so i can block them is more of a chore than actual strategy. stupid stupid stupid. not to mention the lack of a save point between the two missions.
