What purpose does Windows Media Center serve?!
« on: April 27, 2008, 12:10:27 AM »
It can't play shit! I thought I'd be able to stream some vids to my 360, but this thing can't play .avi, .mp4, or .mkv files. If WMP can play all of these vid types, why can't WMC? :maf

It says that it needs a codec to play .avi files. Know where I can get it?

it's probably just a shell, you might need to re-encode it.  are you connected to the net?  if it's a divx or xvid file you'll need to be.
