I fail at meetings. I have a horrible attention span and I also hate sitting down for long periods of time. I wonder why companies do this. Adult learning theory posits that memory retention dramatically falls after 45 minutes of sustained attention.

no, it's a combination of factors:

- final round of job interviews for someone to help me out yesterday and today. a lot of work now, but it will mean a huge load off my shoulders in the near future.
- finishing up a milestone that requires weekly videoconferences with other regions
