Is there a better SNES emulator than SNESxTYL for PSP?

Because no matter how I adjust the settings, almost every damn game I try to run is choppy as hell.
This thing is trash.  Useless.  :(

I find puting the settings on approx. software, no VSync, and cutting down on the sound quality helps with some games. It's sad considering that Neo Geo and blast processing power of the Genesis are perfectly emulated.
