SMT: Nocturne - It's the RPG for the GTA generation!
« on: April 29, 2008, 03:00:49 PM »
so this got reprinted and I'm playing through it again.

The first time, I got the True Demon Ending.  What's the next best ending?  I'm leaning towards the Nihilo philosophy...

(the title is a review quote from the back of the box. no, it doesn't make sense, lol.)

Ugh.

I do need to pick this game back up. I finally beat Dante on Hard and just stopped. Amazing game though. Easily one of the best RPG's I've played from the last generation.

It's fucking sadistic as hell. It seems a little broken here and there like the fact that you may or may not make it past the second enemy in the game. It does give that old school fear of needing to prepare yourself before going out into the wild as even the most casual battle can wipe out your crew.

That's why I won't do it--I can't keep myself protected from death/expel at all times and I already have a heart attack when either one is cast on the protagonist, even though the odds are low.

The whole game is fun, but things really start to pick up around Ginza (which has the funkiest song ever produced by a Japanese guy for background music.)
