I don't have either of the first two games so went option 3 (and in fairness, I was a little distraught when I read that thread).

I haven't played any of the 3 games mentioned in the poll, actually.  I only opened my copy of R6V2 because I ran out of toilet paper and it was an emergency.

R6V2 is a step back from the first, but still superior to most console fps games put out recently. If anything it failed to beat...itself. There wasn't really that much hype around it either.
