Dimps  :(

Rumblefish 1 and 2 were good fighting games.  People like the game in beta tests.  I don't see a problem with that...

...But huge "LOLLOLOLOLLOLZLOLZ" to Capcom (USA?) for keeping this a secret.  To me it doesn't matter anymore; the new characters are unappealing design-wise and the game still comes off as another SF2 variation.

KOF XII killed this game before either even released.

Never played Rumblefish, but Spikeout was alright. I don't hate on SF4, I even think it looks pretty good in motion. It's just going to end up being the SF2 retread EX wanted to be.

But Dimps screams competence. The next SF deserves better.

dissecting every single tidbit that comes along as the game is created is crazy.  judge the finish product.  i'm getting tired of watching something as it comes along and hearing people complain about it the whole way when it's not finished and final decisions haven't even been made.  look at what happened with SFhyperfightingturbosuper for xboxlive; they scrapped most of it and restarted the project making everything all the people were complaining or getting excited over COMPLETELY IRRELEVANT.

and then comparing sf4 to kof12, two unfinished games, is asenine.

I actually like the new style - except Ryu. He really looks like he has some sort of severe mental deficiency.

The game gets better and better-looking all the time.  I'm just far, far more impressed by and hyped for KOF XII instead.

My biggest gripe with SF4 is that it continues to be SF2 3D.  I need more than just three (lame) new characters.  New looks for the older characters and less recreations of older backgrounds would have been nice, too.

That's a weird complaint if you dig KOF XII.  Graphically, KOF XII seems more "more of the same" than SF4.

After Street Fighter III didn't bring in what the Street Fighter II games did, it's no wonder that Capcom's just recreating Street Fighter II in 3D. Honestly, I thought Street Fighter was dead, so I'm glad that at least we are seeing a new installment.

Next on the revision list: Mega Man (the original series, none of this Mega Man X shit).

No way, they started over again completely...not even the art style is the same.  And SNK is not afraid to change up character design.  Look at Athena.  We know Andy Bogard is also coming back with a completely new design, for example.  Capcom doesn't do stuff like this, and it's weird since just about every other company out there does.

They should take the Maximum Impact route and have "another" models to go alongside the classic designs.  Why go 3D if you're not going to take advantage of it?

The problem here is that there have already been Street Fighter games released after III that brought back all or a majority of the original SF2 cast, so it isn't needed.  This has already been done with the likes of Street Fighter Alpha 3 (has the ENTIRE SF2 cast. EVERYONE!), Street Fighter EX2, and in versus games like the Capcom Vs. SNK series.  Plus there is still SSF2T HD Remix coming.

If SF4 wasn't trying so hard to recreate the look of SF2 in 3D, and had more than just 3 new characters shown, I wouldn't be bitching about it.  If Capcom is going to bring back the original 12, then I want to see at LEAST 8 new faces to go alongside them.

If there's any one series that's really "dead," it's Mega Man.  Forget X, it's more like "none of this Mega Man Zero/ZX/EXE shit."

STREET FIGHTER SHOULD NEVER LEAVE 2D!

Seriously, its pretty bad when a KOF(ME) hater wants the new KOF more.

I thought you were a Neo Geo fan?

megaman will never die

Megaman died a long time ago.   :'(

I had and enjoyed Mega Man X, but really when I look back at the series, I just loved Mega Man 2 and 3, with the original close behind.  The rest?  Eh.

I thought you were a Neo Geo fan?

I fucking love the Neo Geo but I still didn't like KOF. SF2 was the only 2D fighter I played other then MK2. SF2 was the greatest thing since forever when I was young.

WHAT THE FUCK?!?!?!1

Go play KOF '98.  And XI.  NOW.  NO FUCKING EXCUSES.   :maf
