New 3Dmark is out

Only works on Vista and you have to enter a trial key every time if you don't purchase it. 

The 1st graphical test is pretty disappointing.  It runs at 10-15 fps much of the time even though the graphics don't look as good as, gasp, Uncharted.

It seems to be a highly CPU limited test.  The water physics are impressive but are not worth the low performance. 

I'm guessing Test 1 would run much better on a quad-core or when Nvidia releases its PhysX drivers. 


After test 1, I was prepared to be disappointed but the graphics test 2 was amazing.  It has the most amazing space sim graphics yet and it easily makes the PS3 & 360 look like the N64. 

The trial-key process is a hassle but I highly recommend fellow Vista users to download this just to check out the space demo.
