The links between Wedbush Morgan and the Blu Ray consortium is the gift that keeps on giving, what a duo. Wedbush Morgan has a HUGE financial stake in many Blu Ray Assocaition members including Lions Gate, Blockbuster and (it could be rumored) Sony. Remember, Pachter said the Blu Ray would be the thing that will make the PS3 kill both the 360 and the wii.
Wedbush Morgan is a fanancial group, they invest incompanies and attempt to turn profit. They even state(by law in all of their doucementation on the web that they admit freely that they have a stake in companies they represent.
Why is no statement like that present in their projections for console sales ang their opinion on the state of the industry(wink wink)

Wedbush Morgan analyst Michael Pachter, a believer in the pull of the PlayStation brand, said, "I think brand loyalty is going to kick in for Sony, starting today. There is a huge installed base of loyal PlayStation 2 owners who have been looking for a reason to upgrade, and they have strong previous ties to the Grand Theft Auto franchise on PlayStation platforms."
He noted other upcoming PS3 exclusives may be helping along the GTA IV factor, such as Metal Gear Solid 4, LittleBigPlanet and SOCOM: Confrontation.
"...It seems like Sony’s in a great position right now," he said.
He mentioned Socom??? As a killer app for the PS3?

EDIT:Btw he is an 'analyst' correct? What kind of analyst would project their feelings on future ps3 game sales without mentioning multiplat games? What about upcoming games like Fallout? That game is third party, and in fact every big seller for the PS3 is a third party game.(including GTA4) That would make much more sense.
