Overlord is one of the most agonizing gameplay experiences of my life. It's pretty fun, but there are sections that seem set up exclusively to embarass the player. Also, do yourself a favor and read a FAQ- There are a handful of gamebreaking bugs in it.

Thanks, GilloD.  When I popped it in the 360, I had to do an auto-update, so maybe that helped with some of the bugs.

Lost Odyssey this week (awesome thus far, I'm 18 hrs in)
Dreamfall a couple of weeks back (slow as fuck at the start (even for me) but I'm sure it gets better).

Eel, Endless Ocean is pretty kick ass.  Just be prepared for what you're getting into (slow swimming around).  There's a constant stream of objectives to complete though which surprised me - it took me around 10 hours to get through them and you're never left twiddling your thumbs.  I've only uncovered perhaps about 1/3 of the map and have mountains of species yet to discover.

Grand Theft Auto IV.  Got it friday, but didn't start playing until yesterday.  I am really enjoying it so far, and have no complaints about the driving controls, although the camera can be a little annoying.  It plays better than the previous GTA games, but I am not far enough into GTAIV to see if it still has the same bullshit glitches or overly-frustrating missions.  I didn't take to Saint's Row and think GTA is a WAAAAAAY better game, but I still think Crackdown is the king of this genre, and it has the best game play of any of these titles by far.

Didn't purchase anything new gamewise this week, but since this thread seems to doubling as a "What have you been playing" here's my current entertainment:

Ys: Oath in Felghana- Quite possibly the most badass game I've played all year. Amazing music, difficult bosses, and a kickass combat system. It's a crying shame that this will probably never get released overseas. Here's some gameplay footage:

Gargoyle's Quest series- Been wanting to play through these again since it's been ages. I finished the original Gameboy version the other day and it still plays pretty well and for a GB game. The visuals hold up better than most from the system and the music is still weirdly great to listen to. I found the game far easier and shorter than what I remembered.

Shining Soul- I don't know why I keep playing this as it's basically a shitty, Japanese version of Diablo that unfortunately carries the "Shining" logo. It's slow, shallow, and has an annoyingly repetitive soundtrack, yet I find myself wanting to go back and strengthen my character. I must hate myself.

It's like Phoenix Wright except (a) it doesn't have 100 hours of people talking at you and (b) it's funnier. It's pretty short though, I beat it in about 3 hours, but basically it's like 5 interactive episodes of the show and it's only $16 at Amazon. It plays really good with the Wiimote since it's basically point-and-click. It's worth a rental if you're a fan.

I traded in a spare 360 controller, my old Advance SP that I found under some stuff in a drawer, and my vanilla copy of Persona 3 (sans artbook and box) today at Gamestop to renew my Edge card and get:
