Today this guy asked me if I could pull some data (years worth of financial records that of course weren't backed up) off of his 486 DOS-based computer, whose HDD had stopped spinning. Man, you don't need a computer tech, you need a necromancer.

No, I've never even talked to this guy before. I guess he just asked around and found out that I was a "computer wizard". I try not to advertise that.

also: if anyone besides immediate family wants you to do something, charge them. that's how you keep the flies off or make money for some ridiculously easy shit ;)
