Probably my favorite female vocalist and an all around good person. LOL all you want, but this is good stuff.

This CD is almost entirely her own music from her earlier albums remixed, and the remixes are awesome. Vox, Fear, Gloomy, Drawn to the Rhythm, Into the Fire...all good stuff

More covers of music from other people. A good half of the songs I didn't like to begin with. Still, Rainbow Connection and Prayer of St Francis are probably my favorite tracks.

Probably her best live recording and in terms of tracklist, her best CD.

The one she's best known for, the one I probably like the least. Adia, Building a Mystery, all overplayed at imo not her best work lyrically. Sweet Surrender and Black and White are the two best songs here.

Her second best release. These are the songs that make up a good chunk of Mirrorball, and probably her most interesting lyrics. Fumbling Towards Ecstasy, Ice, Possession, and Fear are my favorite songs here.

Take a bit of poltical/humanitarian agenda (nothing bad with that) and the softer song styles noticed in surfacing and you have Afterglow. Songs like Stupid have that same sort of 'pseudo-rock' appeal as the song Sweet Surrender, but most of the songs are pretty mellow and seem more like tributes to her husband or fans. Its a weaker cd imo as its range is limited by these factors.

Another live recording, this one usually comes with the DVD standard. Its mostly songs from Afterglow with some classics thrown in from her earlier work. The concert DVD is really well done and puts the pretty awful Metric concert DVD released recently to shame.

Her two earlier cds. Of the two Touch is superior, as Solace exists as kind of the Afterglow to Touches Fumbling Towards Ecstacy. Both cds lean towards that weird celtic stuff the girls love so much, but much of the subject matter veers towards the darker side of things which results in some great track variety.
