But of course, not as good as Pinkerton or the Blue Album, from what I'm listening to.  Links are at the atease forums.

The lack of posts must truly be a testament to Weezer's lacking talent and popularity nowadays.

So it's worth listening to?

I may give it a listen.

Since I hate people shitting up music threads needlessly (Rob Thomas threads excepting), serious response: Weezer is off my radar, but since you gave a recommendation, I'll give a listen if I see it around.

lack of posts is lack of people who have listened to the album

It takes a quick join.  Then go to the other music section.

RoboJ: I mean, it's still Weezer.  People may have simply been burnt out on them over so many failed albums.  This one is actually pretty decent–I'd say it's closest to Green, but still better than Green.  You can't beat the Blue Album, obviously, and Pinkerton has a special place in my heart.  But some of the songs of this album are straight up the best songs Rivers has written in the last decade–"The Greatest Man That Ever Lived is pretty great."

Weezer has fucked up on most of their albums released this decade.

If I want to listen to these guys, I'll need to download a copy.  If it is fuck awesome, I'll buy.  If it is like Green, Maladroit, and Make Believe, it is hitting the Recycle Bin.
🍆🍆

O.K. I know I'm not the person to deliver this news. I know what you're all expecting. And I'm giving you what you all expect...

the songs I've heard are absolutely, positively ABYSMAL. This is some seriously fucked up terrible shit. Just listen to "The Greatest Man that Ever Lived" and continue vomiting. It's "Bohemian Rhapsody" given the "Beverly Hills" treatment. Dreadful.

This is astonishingly bad.

Okay, second listen, it's probably Green level material.  *shrugs*

enjoy bell woods, you hate everything, so not a big surprise.  The Greatest Man That Ever Lived is really not bad at all, I think you're wrong.

Bottom line I guess is that it's just Green-level music.  Nothing to get excited about then.  Move along.

Dude, not trying to be a dick. I'm looking at the GAF thread and it seems most people there agree with me.

What the fuck problem do you have with me?  Honestly, I've never said shit to you.  And besides, I never said this was particularly awesome in any way, I just said it was better than Weezer's last like four albums.  Which isn't hard.  Stop being such a dick, man.

Good lord this is utter shit.

Pork & Beans is great. I like it, it feels like old school Weezer. Troublemaker and Heart Songs (I think thats it) are ok too.

The rest is pathetic, and I hope I never hear it again. I presume Brian Bell is singing on one of the songs too, which isn't a bad song but I don't like his voice.

The Greatest Man that ever lived seems to get good towards the end but it's just cringeworthy stuff.

I wish I'd never listened to this and just pretended that Pork & Beans was some obscure B-side.
