..in his right knee, the left one is perfectly fine. He said he used to walk like 8 miles a day easily (just several months ago) and now he can barely walk every other day at the most, and the pain is brutal. How is there no cure for this yet? He got a procedure done in the Fall that removed the cartilage in that knee and he says it actually feels worse than it did before the surgery. The two knee bones rub against each other. How is there not a fake cartilage they can just put in between the two bones? Just put some synthetic cartilage in there. There's a guy out there with a mechanical heart yet they can't create some fake cartilage? Right now he's getting these oil injections in there but they're not doing much at all. The doctor said that if it comes to a point where he can't get out of bed, they would replace his knee with a titanium one. I bet you if Dubya wasn't elected President, we would have a stem cell cure for arthritis by now--some sort of home grown cartilage they can just stick in there. I feel really bad for him. It's a really debilitating condition. Someone who used to walk at least 8 miles a day for years and years can only do so sparingly now and with a lot of pain.
