People got frustrated at how running up and meleeing (buzzing) enemies would be annoying to trigger, so why not just have a quick QTE sequence instead? Rather than the enemy just giving up, they will put up a fight, and if you fuck up, whoops

That sounds actually very cool. I hope it doesnt come up all the time in single player, but that would be a nice addition.

That's pretty badass. More of the same gameplay-wise with a few additives to spice things up, but if even half the levels are as action packed as that one appears to be, it'll be shitting all over the competition.

I was most surprised by how much more organic the game looks. The enemies, especially the big monster, seem so much more alive.

The vegetation in the background also subtly brings life to the environment. Awesome stuff.

I watched it on GT and on Spike

On Gt it looked 30, but on Spike it definitley looked 60.

I'm going with my completely irrational take on it.

I'm blown away. Best looking console game ever, imo. I loved seeing all that chaos in the sky... the ships, smoke trails, explosions, etc. Lighting looks hugely improved as well. What a monster this thing is gonna be.

Wow, the scene with the Brumak really reinforces the whole "model landscape" deal. I really hope that was set at the wrong speed, because it looked like the old stop motion dinosaur battle movies we saw in school. In the early 80s.

Killzone 2 has poor texture work. Low res textures all over the place. This seems to be a problem with almost every major PS3 exclusive (Resistance, Warhawk, Motorstorm, MGS4, KZ2, etc). The only one that has really nice textures is Uncharted. Naughty Dog is like their best technical dev so that's expected. The rest of the games fail to impress with their textures. A couple of the worlds in Ratchet have nice textures too (Iris and Meridian City).
