It's written for 15 year olds to feel intelligent and enlightened
Donnie Darko 2: Now We're Just Trying to be IncoherentDonny Darko 2: Shut the Fuck Up, Donny. You're Out of Your Element
Oh christ, it's also one of those movies made for people to point who like to point out that it's written for 15 year olds to feel intelligent. This movie gets more hate based on its fans and hype than almost any other.

anyways, wtf is the point of a sequel being made?
It just gets a little annoying knowing how predictable any thread dealing with Donnie Darko is going to be. It's almost like people are embarrassed to say they like it, so they say they like it "ok" in a way that shows that they're "not a part of the problem".

Many of those weirdos who professed it to be the greatest thing ever have likely grown out of that phase...yet you guys just can't let it go.
