So last night I just got permabanned for the 5th time from Gaf in the past few years. I guess it's time to let it go

So I contacted phoenix dark through his youttube account and he is told me what a wonderful place evilbore is. So I guess I am here.

It this really just like gaf but better?

Welcome dude. Yeah, this place isn't as varied as GAF, but the freedom is great. We're not over the top, but we allow far more shit than GAF, which is becoming the "no fun board"

In irc after FoC was banned, one of the mods on irc (forgot who) said that FoC had been banned because he was lying or something. The guy wasn't a student, but posted at some government office or some shit. I forgot. That's why they came to conclusion he was a joke poster.

I'm not a fan of the dialouge. It's too cheesy for my tastes. The combat is a total meh to me. The story in general is pretty meh. Usually if an rpg doesn't have good gameplay to fall back on, I stick around if the story is decent enough. Earthbound's is just embarassing.

It reminds me of a Mario rpg. Mario rpgs are fucking embarassing to play imo, although they do have good gameplay.

You might like the sequel then, the story is much more fleshed out, and they added a combo system to the battles.

The reason gaf staff thought FoC was a joke character was because he apparently lied about himself. He said he was a student or something, and that he was looking for a job and crap. Well, GAF investigators inc. found that he has a job, and a pretty high one at that (from what I remember). This came up on irc, but I'm sure someone can go over it in more detail.

What happened was i was looking for a job most of the summer but I couldnt find one. Then there was a thread about minimum wage and somone said I didnt have a job when earlier that week I got hired to be a security guard at Target (i even made a thread about being a security guard).

So one of the many GAF mods said I was a joke character.

No way, it was one of the earlier just fun/weirdo games and they did a good job with it. the battle system was great but the whole 1/128 item drop thing was gay (I remember being ~level 30 and getting all the way to level 80 on fucking deluxe starmans or whatever, then finding the sword of kings... and at that point it LOWERED the ninja guy's attack power!!).

All of the story twists were just funny. Maybe you had to be a kid to really enjoy it.
