If it were anyone but Nic Cage, I'd be at least curious.  I don't think the movie needs to be remade, but attaching Herzog's name to it makes me at least curious.  Now, if it were Herzog and Zombie Kinski. . .

I sort of agree with this.  Bad Nicolas Cage movies are often doomed before filming begins -- Cage's involvement generally makes them entertaining, at the very least.  His presence is almost never a negative.  That said, I can't provide defense for Next, World Trade Center or Windtalkers.
