PSP Question
« on: May 14, 2008, 10:45:01 AM »
Is there any setting on PSP so that it shuts off as soon as I move the power switch, rather than having to sit there for 5-10 seconds while it goes through sleep mode or whatever? I never use sleep mode, and would be fine with disabling it altogether.

I don't think so.  Sleep mode rocks BTW.  Do you mostly play your PSP at home?

Sleep mode is the best feature. It hardly uses power and you don't have to worry about saving your game. Plus you don't have to wait for the long start-up time.

Hit the nail on the head.

Why would you want to disable sleep mode? Just curious, as I can't really think of a practical reason.

I do usually play it at home, and if I thought I would need I'd turn it back on, but it's annoying having to hold the power button for so long to turn it off.

Actually, it doesn't HAVE to be sleep mode I get rid of, if the CFW had a way to say, turn it off by putting it in "hold mode" (which sounds about as useful as turning num lock off) I'd rather go for that.
