Good movie, bad adaptation and one of the worst sound mixes ever in a film.  Who ever was in charge of the sound mix should be fired and murdered and never allowed back into Hollywood.

It's just a bad adaptation.  It's still a fun movie regardless, but they wasted a lot of potential.

You were probably bored because you could not hear the dialogue, on account of the horrible sound mix!

I remember viewing it on different DVDs on different sets and putting the volume to near max to hear the actors speak, but the score was so fucking loud.

There was talks of a Constantine 2, but it never materialized. The first one did okay at the box office, but not really well enough for WB to light a fire under anyone's butt to get a sequel done.

How Keanuy is it?  Jesus fuck, I can't even wrap my head around Keanu getting cast as Constantine.  THAT DOESN'T MAKE SENSE!

A movie that was visual very pleasing. The special effects, costume design. And Keanu looked badass to the max as well.

My only problem was when Keanu actually opened his mouth. Someone needs to make a movie where he's a cool mother fucker who's also mute.

He was the best part about Bram Stoker's Dracula.

I was actually being sarcastic and I certainly don't hate the film that much.  It feels very much like a vintage 90s film.

I never watched Constantine, despite having it sitting at home. Just blocked it out of my mind.

I used to be a heavy smoker (quit a while ago) and was just too afraid to watch the movie
spoiler (click to show/hide)
(The plot has something to do about this heavy smoker who's dying of cancer and takes on hell or something like that, right?)

because for some stupid reason the thought of me having lung cancer freaked me out. So I finally got my cojones in one place, did my checkup, and I'm fine.

Guess I can move on to the movie now. Thanks for the reminder.

i liked constantine alright. it's not hellblazer, and that made me really mad at first, but once i got over it and settled into its shameless blockbuster groove i enjoyed it well enough. it's paced well, and sadly, keanu works because he seemed so very un-constantine that i could accept the movie unto itself.

Loved it's interpretation of Hell and Peter Stormare makes the perfect Satan. Tida Swinton as Gabriel was also a standout. Keanu was alright but John was blonde and British in the comic. I read where Keanu said he had no plans to revisit the role of Constantine even if they asked him to.

Even though Constantine was a big ol' "meh" for me, I thought Keanu was much better in this role than as Neo. The chain smoking looked good on him.
