music posers piss me off. i'm into underground backpacker stuff but it doesn't dictate my taste. if i hear a good song on the radio i won't deny it, and i won't hail shitty music as awesome just because it's not on the radio.

one of my friend's from school spends hours each day joining facebook groups dedicated to shitty artists (Soulja Boy, 50 Cent, etc) and telling everyone how shitty their taste is. i'm sorry but that's just childish and distinguished mentally-challenged. if someone likes Soulja Boy who cares

While I'm glad he's not listening to say Lil Wayne, he has absolutely no interest in experiencing a wide variety of hip hop, starting with the classics. IMO he listens to hip hop mainly for the production and doesn't appreciate good rappin. But even that doesn't justify his hate for east coast production - he thinks DJ Babu is better than fucking DJ Premier. He says RZA doesn't know how to produce. He thinks HAVOK (Infamous era Havok) is average. Says Pete Rock is meh. He's a fucktard
