spent 5 hours playing Mount and Blade doing super awesome, building my bad ass army from ignorant villagers and associated mercenaries while also making big bucks working the trading
then i made an unfortunate turn to enemy territory and while i managed to take out an army which was literally THREE TIMES MY SIZE our forces were then fell upon while camping wiping out everyone, losing most of my goods which were intended to trading and a large chunk of cash as i was captured scattering my army to the winds.
i escaped but still deep in enemy territory moving at less than half my normal speed when once more i was captured and then escaped losing more goods and more money.
finally using cunning i managed to sneak not to friendly territory but rather indifferent or at least not hostile.
my king summoned me so i attempted to raise an army and meet him, only to have my fledgling force once more scattered to the winds when bandits fell upon us.
limping, i made it to my home kingdoms and took out my frustrations on some villagers where now, not only must i deal with the re-creation of my forces, the reestablishment of my trade empire, the building of my coffers with loot, but i now face lowered reputation amongst my fellow lords for having been defeated and captured.
this game is fucking awesome.
