While it all looks great, everything else is generic. Dialogue sucks, plot isn't cohesive, and the cutscenes during the robot merger are so embarassing I have to keep the volume down. During the robot merge all the pilots are naked and making orgasm noises and saying like 'ooooh yeah it feels so good'. Its not a hentai, but whenever they merge I have to turn the volume down so anyone walking by my apartment doesnt think im some kind of hentai freak.

Aquarion was not good. Kawamori and co. failed big time. Too bad it's story is going to be prominently featured in Super Robot Wars Z.

Aquarion sucked right out of the gate. The fact that the pilots looked like they were having orgasms every fucking second of the show sealed it as stupid moe claptrap for hentai freaks instead of being an actual legitimate show. For an actually good recent Kawamori show watch Arjuna.
