Lord Bane is worse than GTA IV

yeah man hes a piece. Basically you need to forget about using spells becuase he will resist 4/5 of them, try and equip as much gear as possible to increase you damage when when matching skulls (I used the Flame Blade). And most importantly be really vigilant about getting every 4 of a kind you can get, because Bane will butt fuck you.

A good thing to remember is Bane will always prioritise matching wildcards over skulls, so you can generally set yourself up to match some skulls if theres a wildcard there waiting to be set off.

I had an early night last night (still fucked from the weekend lol) thus I wasnt online. I should be there tonight to give you a game

At least in the XBLA version, beating Bane is at least 75% luck.  Still, it didn't take me more than an hour or so.  I don't remember getting frustrated with it.

I managed to get him down to 100hp when I had 100hp but then he somehow got about 30 skulls drop and i was doomed. ill try again later tonight, maybe i need to change some spells/items

Only spells I can use are calm (cause it makes no difference) and forrest fire. I think I had Gemberry resisted 7 times in a row in one go because I got the shits and wanted to cast it. I thought I'd be a smartass and use Wall of Thorns (lol resisted) and Reincarnation (clear table of all skulls). I actually got the latter cast once and since there were no skulls Bane was getting 3-4 Skulls in a row dropping down a column, usually with a +5 somewhere.

It's not like I can level up more - I'm already 50 with a godlike item. This is starting to break me.
