So is American Gladiators staged or not?

The Eliminator performances are absolutely pathetic this season. But if they were going to stage it why make the contestants stand around for over 10 minutes before successfully doing it, and then have both guys do it at the same time?

It's puzzling.

I think you underestimate how hard the travelator truly is after all of that.

That was my justification last season. But in three episodes we've had two occasions were two people just stood around and then both made it to the top simultaneously for a photo finish.

They obvious edit all the failed attempts out, so we don't see until the end.

And they both didn't make it until they slowed it down, which they do around that time.

Well yea they're not just hanging out, but the simultaneous completion is bizarre.

If they really do slow it down then that would explain it.

I don't see why buff guys like this can't get to the top of the thing when given a 4 or 5 minute breather. It's not like they're required to keep tackling it repeatedly.

I watched it too, its amazing how dudes have taken 10 minutes then the chicks go on right after and tear up that time. Does the travelator go slower for them? Also I notice that some people sort of cheat on it and put their foot on the outside of the thing just enough to get their footing and go up, and its never called illegal. I don't understand why for season 2 they didn't make the thing wider, a lot of people seem to do that and don't get caught. And i mean, its blatantly obvious when you watch the event that they do it. They're usually the ones that have zero problem getting up it, then the poor dumbasses trying to jet it up the middle fall back down.
