Definitely Dawn of the Dead.

Probably 28 Days Later as well, even though it's not an "...of the Dead" movie.

The remake is incredible and the original rocks ass too.  Both for very different reasons.

Also, how did you like The Sickness cover montage with the sex scenes?  so awesome

I think I'll pick up the original on Blu Ray too

Also, the first Resident Evil is fucking awesome

Ah here's the DotD remake thread. I loved this movie so much. I was disappointed in the HD-DVD transfer, though.

Shame they couldn't have got the rights to Day of the Dead and made an authentic sequel to it. The remake of Day is pure shit through and through. Even Ving Rhames couldn't save it. Now if they had gotten the same crew who did Dawn to do it and revolve the story around Ving's twin brother whom he spoke about then that would have kicked ass.

Shame we haven't seen anymore movies written by James Gunn since Slither bombed so bad. Then again he did write the Scooby Doo movies  :-X

No, no, no. IMDB's wrong. Don't ever think Romero had anything to do with the Day remake. It's terrible. Steve Miner directed it. He did Halloween H20 and Friday the 13th Parts 2 and 3. It could have been good but it's just stupid. It's got Nick Cannon as the 'hip' black soldier and Mena Suvari is supposed to be believable as a high ranking military officer. Top it off the worst offender is Bub. Bub doesn't crave human flesh because as a human he was a vegetarian. I was like WTF?

You just talked me out of it

I'll have to watch the original now then. I hope it lives up to the hype!

Yeah. Much better than RE2. Haven't seen RE3 yet.
Yeah, definitely check out the original.  Great movie.

RE2 was tolerable but still shit and RE3 is just wow... pure trash.

Return of the Living Dead deserves mention. Hell it deserves it's own thread but there's no need to clog the boards. We should have just did one single Zombie thread  :lol

That one kicks ass. Tar Man to this day shits all over any CGI zombie effect anyone has tried. The comedy in it was just awesome. Who can forget, "Send more cops." The music deserves special mention too. That's one soundtrack I wouldn't mind owning. Let's not speak of any of the sequels, though. I shudder at their mention.

My 2nd favorite zombie movie, I like 28 days later better.

Holy fuck this was probably the worst movie I've ever seen.  Mupepe, don't bother.

ps:  Resident Evil is not a zombie film.
