I hadn't seen this movie since release and I was pretty wasted.  I remember liking it, but my taste has changed a lot since then and wow.  Jesus Titty Fucking Christ.  Awesome movie.  Not quite as good as Pan's Labyrinth.  It's like Pan's Labyrinth but not as cleaned up or well done, which is understandable.

If you guys like Pan's and haven't seen this, you have to!  Only 10 bucks at bestbuy.com and you can probably find it cheaper elsewhere.

Also, using the PS3 to upscale this thing to 1080p, it was fucking gorgeous.  Awesome transfer.

Truthfully, I didn't like it as much I'd hoped I would. Something about the premise didn't really click with me.

How could you not like when...
spoiler (click to show/hide)
Conchita is walking down the road and Jacinto finds her and is like "Apologize and get in the truck" and she looks at him all bad ass and says "No te tengo miedo"  She's a fucking soldier!  And the Jacinto gives Jaime the little cigar wrapper ring all smiling like a prick.

The ending was so bad ass.  It started off slow, I'll give you that.

though it seemed scary as fuck  :omg

I loved the movie, but I didn't find anything terribly scary about it. I really liked the way they handled the ghost, though.

Highly recommended.
