Depends on the college. Depends on the student.
I hated my old college. Then again, as stated above, I hated my major, school was making major budget cuts, instructors were mediocre, classmates in general were not very interesting people. Only thing I enjoyed about it was the campus and that one hot dog stand. OH, and the dance and fictional writing classes I took there because the teachers really seemed to have passion for what they did.
Other than the drama that comes with going to private schools, I love my current college. I'm learning the skills and trade of a profession I am genuinely interested in. The majority of the students I see day in and day out share enthusiasm for their work (whatever their major), instructors actually know what they're talking about because it is required that they are working professionals in the field they teach. Also very cool when some of them show the class the projects they worked on and you're like, "HOLY SHIT YOU WORKED ON THAT?!"
