Although so far the amount of exclusives requiring sizable installs on the PS3 are in the minority, so I'm not buying the "notable exception" stuff.
The "notable exception" was referring to Uncharted, which as you mentioned, does not require an install.
Anyhow, I could stomach the fact that the PS3 requires an install in games where the 360 was the lead platform (sloppy seconds and all that), but for PS3 exclusive games? What ever happened to the simplistic "pick-up-and-play" virtue of console gaming?
And while the games that require install are still in the minority, the current trend seems to favor installs.

Haze requires an install. MGS4 requires an install. At this rate, all major exclusives will require an install in the future. Are there any upcoming PS3 exclusives that do
