I have read a lot of people didn't care for the demo, but I loved it. I just paid off my pre-order today and got a free t-shirt for pre-ordering at gamestop. Don't hate me from buyig from GS... it's the most convenient for me and I don't trade in my games.

It's too bad I'll only get a solid week in before MGS4 though.

Even though they're slightly different genres, I'd say if you liked DiRT, there's a pretty good chance you'll like GRID. It gets adrenaline flowing to a similar degree.

On a whim, I went to my EB to see if I could get the game early. They had my copy sitting in the shelf behind the register. Can't give it to me until Tuesday!!!!!!!!

I'll buy it, probably not right now though. It's pretty much the racing game I've been waiting for, but I might wait until I can find it used. Money is scarce, and I can't justify burning more of it on games at this point.

Have you ever got Asian versions? I haven't bought any yet (I get US versions) but have read that they frequently come with English instructions and are often just the US version anyway.

I'm awaiting confirmation from somewhere that the US version is region free (we all know it will be but just in case...) and then I was going to order from cduniverse.

This is the first time my pre-order wasn't there on its release date. My store didn't have NG2 either but there are still people who bought it elsewhere today. There are people who also picked up GRID today and are playing it. As a rule, if you pre-order, it should be there on release day. Everyone else should have to wait a day later.

Dude, I'm a Store Manager. 90% of the time, product comes in the day after. If it's something GameStop thinks it can make enough money off of, they'll ship it out before hand. I've worked in several stores in one of the largest regions in the country that is also CLOSER to some of the direct ship warehouses than other stores - I think I know my shit.

I am sure there might be some other retail locations that got copies today, and maybe a few select areas around certain national warehouses that received copies today, but for the most part - it doesn't happen.

I ordered yesterday with UPS and it has shipped out from Play Asia. It's a long time since I ordered from Hong Kong (since Lik Sang shut down), but I recall UPS was always just a couple of days.
