Otherwise, looks pretty solid for a WiiWare game

It's a retail game.

HOLY SHIT THIS GAME IS AWESOME OLD SCHOOL 2D PLATFORMING, NO BULLSHIT JUST GOOD GAME PLAY.  OMG OMG OMG A GOOD NINTENDO GAME WHAT'S GOING ON!??!

This game is just fantastic so far. Clever design, solid game play, and some of the best animation ever seen in a 2D platformer. This game is old-school in a good way, harkening back to the days when games were all about the GAME PLAY. It's hard to believe it's from Nintendo, with the way they approach game-making these days.  I was really let down by New Super Mario Bros. on DS, but this game shits all over it so far.  I hope it doesn't end up being too short.

Holy shit, I've never seen any of these videos. I had kind of sold this game off beforehand. This actually looks really fucking good.

Wario Land 2 was great.  I didn't play 3.  DS Thief game sucked.

Oh, and I never played that Gamecube game.

You might as well include the Super Mario Land games, and Wario Land 1 as well.

Best Wario game is still Wario World for Gamepube.

Re-release it as 'Non-cigarillo training'.  We can save Japan from themselves!

hiring a first-rate animation studio to draw sprites is probably the first cool thing nintendo have done with their new money. hopefully they can just write it off as one of their semiannual gestures of condescension to people who like videogames -- at least until they figure out that their faithful will run just as well on no encouragement whatsoever

My only reservation is that this will be wussified. I guess it's OK if it's as easy as a Dora the Explorer video game adaptation, but Super Paper Mario levels of sissy are simply unacceptable.

I'd be more concerned about Super Paper Mario levels of TEDIOUS.

Also, I suppose it didn't help that Nintendo released the game less than a month after announcing it.

edit: okay, 2 months.

The YouTube video made it look super fun, but I guess if you mash the craziest moments in the game in one compilation it could make a poorly paced game look like all thrills.

Then again, sp0rsk liked Phantom Hourglass.
