If you can't keep anything down and keep throwin up, you will eventually heave bile. It's flourescent yellow in color.

Any medicine you ingest orally will not stop your vomiting as you will just heave it right back up.

If this (eventually) sounds like you, you will need to go to a hospital. You may have acute gastritis. I've suffered this four times before, and it sucks because after the iv treatment you are cautioned from eating or drinking anything oily, salty, fattening, etc. No sodas, no smoking (if you do); basically you're limited to food you'd get in a hospital - bland as hell.

The only good thing is after the iv treatment you will stop heaving within the hour. I hope that's not what you have, but if you're clenching your stomach in pain and can't put anything down, it's either acute gastritis / gastroenteritis or some sort of poisioning.

Yeah, I was vomitting bile a bit ago.  The back of my throat feels like scorched earth.  CrystalGemini brought me some Gatorade.  If I'm not better by morning, I guess I'll go to the hospital.

I am thinking it has to do with my stomach/stomach acid, because depending on how I contort my body, I can ease some of the pain momentarily.  The only way I've been able to close my eyes is by warping my body into uncomfortable positions.  The stiff neck muscles and what have you pale in comparison to this stomach pain

Vomiting can feel awesome in certain contexts. Like barfing after drinking too much. You feel amazing right after.

A little late to this party, but I'd advise against Gatorade or orange juice or anything of the sort because those drinks are highly acidic and will probably just make you vomit more.

I haven't thrown up in about 8 hours.  My stomach pain hasn't gone away, but it's no longer as intense and I have moments of no pain.  Hopefully, I've seen the worst of it.

Yay.  12 hours without vomitting.  I also slept more than 90 minutes last night - the past two nights were torturous, as I was so exhausted from lack of ANYTHING in my body, vomitting and sleep deprivation but the pain kept waking me up.  I've been bedridden for almost three days, but I think I'm starting to turn the corner.
