Went to Disneyworld when I was three years old, so I can't remember anything about the place. But I generally dislike large throngs of people and constant waiting, so I doubt I'd enjoy it.

My first time at Universal Studios was last year in Osaka (AFAIK it's essentially the same thing as the U.S. parks, perhaps a bit smaller), and it really didn't feel worth all the waiting in line to go on these outdated "rides." Sure Spider-Man and BTTF were enjoyable, but waiting 1-2 hours in line to go on a 5-10 minute ride is not my idea of a great time.

I like going to Disneyland, but:

1) I live like 20 minutes away
2) There's free parking at Downtown Disney
3) I have a yearly pass
4) I only go in the evening, after 9 PM

If you show up after the last fireworks, the park is almost completely cleared out. You can show up, ride 2-3 things, have a corn dog, and walk around having a good time. If you go during the day you are distinguished mentally-challenged and may not live to regret your decision.

I did go to disneyland a few years ago, in the middle of summer. It was empty after the parade but even then, I don't like theme parks aimed at families like disneyland and universal studios. Over here, we have Great America and the good thing about that is the lines are usually as long as the rides during weekdays. Plus girls run through the water zone. you don't get that in disney parks.

Last time I was at Disney was 3 years ago, went to Epcot... place seemed so run down and obsolete, and the food (not the fancy restaurants in the World part of it) was so expensive and absolutely disgusting, made Taco Bell look like a 4 star Michelin-rated restaurant. Universal/Islands of Adventure was a lot better.
