SHUT UP MICHAEL I'M TRYING TO READ

Watched the first three episodes. The first two were kinda so so to me but the third ("Orientation") was great.

-I really didn't like the flashback in the first episode. That really should have occurred in the first season. Introducing Desmond in the flashback and then revealing him to be on the hatch in the same episode really killed any type of mystery or suspense. It was the complete opposite of say Michelle Rodriguez's character, who was introduced briefly in S1, and when you see her in S2 you're like whoaaa (although in S1 when she told Jack she was in the tail area of the plane I knew she'd show up on the island eventually).

-Also I wasn't a fan of the long, drawn out, repetitive reveal of Desmond from multiple POVs. That took up what, 2 and a half episodes? But things definitively got interesting once he started talking.

-I fucking called it: human experiment. But then again, who knows whether the tape Desmond had is actually real. Even if it isn't I'd say this qualifies as a human experiment or something like that.

-God I wish Jack didn't push the button

-OTHERS FINALLY. WTF @ that big black guy.

The first couple eps of season 2 is really the only place that feels like filler. Season 3 also starts slow, but that feels more like it's treading water than anything. If you make it passed those 5 or 6 episodes, you won't have any major issues with the rest of the series.

I kind of prefer season 2's finale. That was so good that I was basically rushing out ASAP to get the next set. Just like the hatch reveal, what would happen in season 3 was a big unknown. And then there's that awesome first scene cocktease of season 3. Actually, the whole last "act" of season 2 is fuck awesome.

I pretty much disliked the entirety of Season 2, but it had a good finale. I think Season 3 had the best finale, though. Even over Season 4.

I actually just got done watching the fin for this with some friends over the weekend. For some reason I did not find it to be as impacting as I remembered.

This week I will start on S3 again on my Blu Ray set. I have only seen S3 on TV when released and apple TV. after reading the reviews for the Blu Rays I am prepared to be wowed by 3dish eye popping 1080p.

They say LOST S3 Blu Ray is BRD demo material - anyone here seen it in 1080p?

I didn't hate it, I just felt the flashback should have been in S1. That would have made Desmond's reveal mean so much more imo

The plane began to rumble and Claire nervously began tapping her fingernails on the arm rest.

And yeah, I loved season 2. It drags like hell early on and the less said about the taileys the better but some of the more interesting island related mysteries are brought up during this season. The show finally moves beyond survivors fighting amongst themselves over who took who's hairbrush and starts concentrating on the real meat of the series.

Plus season 2 features the best Lost character ever - Mr. Ekko. The man fucking rocks.

I have and it's pretty sweet. I don't know if it's demo material 'cause I personally find Ratatoullie to be the most impressive BR disc out there but it does look damn nice. Someone here mentioned that Lost on BR is similar in quality to Apocalypto, and I'd have to agree. So if you've seen that, you should know what to expect.

It looks good, but I'm not sure if I would call it demo material. The bitrate of the video wasn't as high as (most) movies, and in some episodes, some scenes look better than others. It's all great looking, mind you, but there are better things out there for showing off HD capabilities.

Get ready for more of Jack's boring social life. His flashbacks are almost universally a fucking waste. Season 2 is pretty okay, although it really tried my patience on TV. On DVD it was great. S3 has the best opener, although I like the Tarantino-lite of S2. But S3 was just. It's good.

Ana Lucia is definitely the most...complex character so far. Initially Sawyer struck me as the off hinge character but he's certainly mellowed down. But how does a woman who lost her child so viciously - then exacted such revenge - possibly mellow down? I foresee lots of conflict between her and Jack possibly. Can't fucking wait to find out more about her background

Also Mr. Ecko and Locke strike me as kindred spirits for some reason. Can't wait to find out more about him too

Rose and Bernard reunited. So beautiful

But back to "The Other 48 Days." What a great episode. Seems like they take people, alter their memories somehow, and uhh...I dunno. They don't strike me as the same people who took Walt...

Hehehe, Season 2 had it's ups and downs.

After rewatching the first three seasons over the past few weeks, I'm convinced that Season 3, with the exception of Expose, is fucking amazing. Even Tricia Tanaka Is Dead had good character moments.

But Season 4 is my favorite so far. Holy Shit from beginning to end.

Expose is an AWESOME episode in a season already filled with awesome. When I read the description I thought it would be a complete waste of time (and I suppose in the grand scheme of things it kinda was) but it turned out to be one of my favorite Lost episodes ever. It finally delta with the 2 cousin Oliver-type characters that no one liked but in a way that was unexpectedly interesting. I loved seeing the events from seasons 1-3 replayed from a different perspective and we finally got a few answers for their behavior in past episodes. Really smart TV.

IMO, Expose is in the top 5 episodes of the series.

I was tired of him being turned into the lovable teddy bear bad buy but after The Long Con the real Sawyer is finally back. Holy shit, that even tricked me. I thought Libby was involved in the Sun attack. Actually I still think there's something up with her, mainly due to that odd conversation she had with Hurley who claimed he had seen her before.

Anyway I didn't think it was Ana Lucia because that was too obvious. Sawyer AND Charlie? Haha. Only problem: last time Sawyer hid stuff in the jungle he got punked. How is he going to keep this scam going with 40+ people against him? And better yet, what if the guns are stolen?

On a side note, the previous episode where Charlie tried to baptize/drown Aaron made me hate him even more. Charlie struck me as useless until the Moth episode last season, and this season his arc seems to simply be a revolving circle. Yea a clean, evil Charlie seems cool but I wouldn't mind seeing him die.

Good episode. It seems like whenever Jack and Locke clash, the winner is decided by whoever gets Siyad's support. His rationale for not believing this guy's story (not knowing how long it took to bury his lover) makes sense. But sadly I remember seeing that guy in Lost promos before I started watching the show...so I know he's a badguy.

I thought the Dave episode was one of the best flashback ones so far. And holy shit @ tarded Libby in the ward. It was hilarious: I knew Dave wasn't real once I saw that basketball scene, and I felt so good about FINALLY calling something. Then the bombshell closer made me go fuuuuck

I started rewatching all of Lost a few weeks ago. Tonight I got drunk and watched the episode where Boone dies. I don't know why, but Boone's death is always way sadder to me than the deaths of other characters, even though I didn't really like him.

Anyways, in a few days I'll probably pass PD because he's so slow.

I actually thought it started off pretty weak due to Jack's father showing up AGAIN, meeting another cast member. Way too fucking coincidental. But perhaps even more coincidental: Michael magically appearing for Jack and Kate in the last episode. I should have realized something was up, but god damn I would have never guessed
