Alma can be really hard. I died many times because I was using my usual tactical defensive way of playing. I got shit off after a while and for the last attempt of the evening I just went all ninja on her fiendish pink ass and she was on the floor first time.
So if you usually have a defensive mindset throw that out the window when you fight her.
I disagree. I was defensive and I still beat her nice and quick-like.
My tactic was, just stick to the Dragon Sword, use Ninpo when she flies near to levitate you up, then Reverse Wind the fuck out of there (you don't need to do this all the time though, if it looks like she won't levitate you, just start wailing on her while she's floating there on fire). Otherwise, don't even bother trying to hit her until her feet are planted. When she's on her feet she sort of sits there like a distinguished mentally-challenged fellow while you wail on her tits. If you try to go fucking crazy ninja style flipping all over the place scoring those not-so-crucial single slices while she's in the air, she's gonna throw a column in your dickhole, pick you up and thrash your asshole.
Stock up on health potions too, maybe 5 should do the trick.
