I have never been a fan of German football. It's a combination of their heartless, too technical football, and those ugly black and white outfits.

The German players looked absolutely deflated after the match.  Why were they just standing there watching all the ceremonies?  I heard the announcer say it's a courtesy to do that but I've never seen it any other sport.  In American sports, the losing team just goes back to the locker room right away.  The German team stood there on the field for like 20 minutes watching the Spaniards jump around celebrating.  They looked devastated.

I wanted Germany to win.  Germans are some of the nicest and most hospitable people in the world, while the Spanish are notorious for their rudeness, attitude and racism.

I live in the U.S.  I remember hearing a few times about studies that showed German people are the nicest and most hospitable in the world.

And re: Spain, it's common knowledge that they're a very racist nation.  Not everyone over there of course, I'm just saying that's the general sentiment I've always heard about the Spanish.

Yeah, they're huge generalizations, but I'm an ignorant American so it's to be expected.  :-[

Rather neutral going into it but in this case a victory for Spain is a victory for football so I have no complaints. Taking Lahm off -- despite the defensive blunder -- was a massive tactical fuck-up on Low's part. And honestly, why would you have even brought Klose or Gomez to the tournament. I'm sure Germany has strikers with better first touches than either of those two. Klose's time is up and Gomez can't perform on the big stage period, so it's time to call up people who can.
