Ran has been my favorite movie for many years but I hadn't truly seen it until I bought this version. Both releases before it were botched badly with colors being completely off, cropped frames, and/or localization issues so this was badly needed. And the special features are pretty amazing including a 35 minute cut (by the actor who played Tango) featuring storyboards illustrated by Kurosawa matched with audio from the film. Just awesome.
