So, my wife's 7 year old Dell warhorse finally fell apart. Literally, the screen detached from the body of the laptop. I've been thinking about nabbing myself a cheap-o PC because as much as I love my Mac, I don't have 2500$ to throw away on a 500$ laptop. I figure I'll pass the Powerbook to her and use my new cheap-o PC to play some Gametap shit and screw around. What're my options? I lterally haven't purchased a PC in close to 10 years and have no idea what the market is like. DOesn't have to be a warhorse, just good enough to crank, like, Baldur's Gate and Gametap shizz, maybe some freeware nonsense and rock an Excel sheet. Simple.
